Animated honey ads: where motion earns its budget

Honey is a hard product to photograph. It goes dark on a flat surface and reads as syrup if the pour isn't right. Static product photography hits a ceiling on this category fast.

I built the ads animated for that reason. A honey bee enters frame, circles a wooden dipper above an open jar, and leaves as a drop of honey falls. The motion does the work.

The unit ran as the lead creative for The Honey Festival. 27% attendance lift. Six seconds, no overlay, the bee carrying the entire pitch. Animation earns its budget on a product like honey.
